Colorado Divorce Co-Mediation & Our Fees
Summary. Sometimes more than one mediator is used because of the complexity of the issues to be decided. A 2nd mediator can assist with specific issues.

Co-Mediation
Sometimes more than one mediator is used when the issues to be decided are complex or require expertise that the original mediator does not possess. In such a case, then a 2nd mediator is added to the mediation process.

Generally each co-mediator will mediate only specific issues.

For example, additional expertise may be needed with the following issues:

  • co-parenting time and relocation (moving away)
  • valuation of retirement assets
  • business valuation
  • financial issues, such as bankruptcy or financial planning
  • evalution of full-employment, or full-earning capability

Our Co-Mediation Fees
A summary of our fees (similar to regular mediation fees):

$85.00 to open the mediation file, but only if we are the original mediator.

$200.00 per hour for mediation time.

$200.00 to draft a divorce separation (final orders) agreement, if we do the work.

Generally these fees are split 50-50 between the parties. Co-mediation fees depend on the work that we do. Sometimes the other co-mediator will do most of the work and bill most of the fees.
