Colorado Divorce Consulting Attorney & Our Fees
Summary. Sometimes an attorney is used to provide legal information or legal advice to parties who are involved in mediation. Acting as a consulting attorney is way to provide legal help for a reduced fee.

Consulting Attorney Services
Sometimes the parties to a divorce or other legal proceeding need a limited amount of legal advice or information.

One good way to obtain less expensive legal help is to hire an attorney to play a limited role. Such an attorney is sometimes called a consulting attorney.

For example, if an evaluation or opinion is needed as to how a court might rule on some issues, a consulting attorney might provide such an opinion. The opinion can be provided to both parties or just one.

A consulting is not involved with the representation of either party in a court litigation case. If a litigation attorney is needed, then a litigation attorney should be hired to represent one of the parties in court, including for appearance at a contested trial.

Our Consulting Fees
A summary of our fees (similar to regular mediation fees):

$85.00 to open the client file.

$200.00 per hour for consulting attorney time. Generally this includes an opinion letter.

Documents can be prepared on either an hourly basis or for a flat fee.
